BLOGGING and HUMOR

Humor-driven content comes easily to me as it is closely related to the type of personal content I generated and shared on the radio each morning.

EXAMPLES:

In 2018 I created an Instagram account for my cat Ted where he "speaks" via a cheesy app that makes his mouth move. Ted amassed over 1,300 fans, which quite honestly is a pathetic number in the IG cat world, but they're very avid fans.

When my daughter was a teenager, I started an anonymous BLOG to vent about the social trends I was noticing among her peers. With a self-deprecating approach, I created a place where other parents could feel safe sharing their feelings of failure and their moments of triumph.

I wrote a number of comedic, first-person features for Willamette Week on subjects like maternity clothes, spoiled pets and learning to play bridge.

My friends and listeners got addicted to a serial piece I inadvertently created when I began replying to a Facebook romance scammer.

And for my radio show, I wrote daily quizzes that entertained listeners with fresh spins on topics.
