PROFILES

In my career as a writer and a radio host, I've interviewed dozens of prominent people and talked to hundreds of others whose lives are interesting in unexpected ways. I've often been told I can talk to anyone about anything, but as I writer I love the opportunity to synthesize people's stories into impactful pieces.

EXAMPLES

Getting to know these four local DOCUMENTARY FILMMAKERS for an 1859 cover story was inspiring, as their work has helped changed hearts, minds and lives.

When GERT AND TIM BOYLE of Columbia Sportswear were asked by a business magazine to share their story, they chose me to write a piece that highlighted the challenges they overcame to build a hugely successful global family business.

Oregon State University's resident MARINE MAMMAL TRACKING guru Bruce Mate made for a surprisingly poignant profile for 1859. He's been bonding with the same whale pod for over 4 decades.
